Welcome to Healing Care Counseling
Welcome
I know reaching out can be hard, so I’m glad you found your way here. I’m Laura Packard, a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts. I offer telehealth therapy and specialize in supporting teens and women who are navigating some of life’s most challenging moments, whether it’s something recent and overwhelming, a pain that has been carried quietly for year, or the daily struggle of day to day tasks. So if you’re facing symptoms of mood disorder, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or postpartum struggles, my goal is to empower you to heal, grow, and thrive.
I also have experience supporting LGBTQIA+ clients, with a particular focus on working with lesbian, bisexual, and queer women, and I welcome trans women seeking affirming, trauma-informed care.
My Approach
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, grounded in a genuine connection. In our work together, you’ll find me in a warm, down-to-earth space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. You can be your authentic self, and explore what’s on your mind. Using traditional talk therapy, evidence-based tools like mindfulness, meditation, and some creative outlets such as art, we’ll build skills that support resilience and balance and healing.
Why Choose My Practice?
I’m passionate about creating a therapeutic space that is comfortable. I believe therapy should feel approachable, flexible, and empowering. Some days might be about learning new tools. Other days, you may just need space to talk and be heard. Whether we’re using a worksheet, exploring a tough emotion, or simply making room to process your week, our work will center on what’s most helpful to you. Therapy doesn’t always need to be heavy to be meaningful. Sessions are fully online and designed to fit you life- convenient, flexible, and focused on your goals.

“Therapists are like shoes, not every one is the right fit, and that’s okay, but you’ll never know unless you try one.”
— Laura Packard, LICSW

Starting therapy can be overwhelming, and reaching out is often the hardest part. To make things easier, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help us see if we’re a good fit. This can be done by phone, text, or email, whatever feels most comfortable and accessible for you. You can request a consult by filling out the information in the Contact Us section.
Please note that consultations are for general questions and to help you learn more about how I work and what you’re looking for. No clinical advice or therapeutic services are provided during this exchange. The goal is simply to help you decide if working together feels right.

Ready to get started?
To schedule an individual therapy session or request a free 15-minute phone consultation, please reach out through the Contact Us section. You can also check my availability by clicking the Book button at the top right of the page.
When scheduling a therapy session, please choose a date at least 7 days out. This gives us time to complete the intake paperwork and allows me to review everything so we can start off prepared. Please don’t use the booking link to schedule a consultation—just email, text, or call me directly for that.
If you have any questions before booking, I’d be happy to help. I look forward to connecting with you.
If you don’t see a time that works for you, feel free to reach out. I might be able to adjust my schedule. It could take up to four weeks to find an opening, but it never hurts to ask. If I can make it work, I will.
