Who am I?

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and founder of a private practice built on compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens when we feel truly seen and supported, without judgment and without pressure to “just get over it.” Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, postpartum challenges, or life transitions, I’m here to walk with you, not ahead of you.

I’m also not a blank-slate kind of therapist. I show up as a real person and value honest, collaborative conversations. Therapy with me isn’t stiff or clinical, you can be yourself, and not feel like you have to explain your identity or defend your emotions.

With experience in different modalities such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, I offer down-to-earth, practical support that helps you build insight, develop new coping tools, and reconnect with your inner strength. My work focuses on teens and adult women, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community focusing on lesbian, bi, queer and trans women, and I hold a deep respect for the vulnerability it takes to begin therapy. I integrate mindfulness, art, worksheets, yoga, and other creative tools to help make therapy both grounded and flexible, because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Why I Became a Therapist

Before I became a therapist, I worked in direct care with children and adults who had significant mental and physical disabilities. It was hands-on, deeply human work, and it taught me early on that showing up with patience, compassion, and presence can make a real difference. I didn’t always know I’d become a therapist, but I’ve always been drawn to roles that allow me to help people find their strength, even when they can’t see it yet.

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English, I took some time off and focused on my own healing. I had been through a lot, and was in therapy myself during that time, and something clicked: therapy wasn’t about fixing people. It was about helping them feel seen, understood, and supported in finding their own way forward. That idea stayed with me.

When I returned to graduate school, I knew I wanted to be the kind of therapist who keeps it real. Someone who listens without judgment, skips the clinical jargon, and creates a space where clients can speak freely and actually feel heard. I don’t believe healing follows a script. I do believe that with the right support, people can reconnect with parts of themselves they’ve had to shut down just to survive and start building a life that feels more aligned and sustainable.

Today, my work centers around supporting women and teens and also with LGBTQIA+ clients, particularly lesbian, bi, queer, and trans women, who are seeking a space that’s affirming, informed, and down to earth. I bring my full presence to this work, and a deep respect for each person’s path, pace, and truth.
